The GS may be one of the more beautiful and relaxing bus rides around. It leaves Boulder and follows the beautiful front range down into Golden to connect the two distant neighbors. This route is intended as a commuter route for day trips with it's limited schedule but it definitely doesn't have a limited route. You can reach many major points in Golden with this bus, if you add a bike to your commute the route seems limitless. There's always enough space for bikes since this is a regional bus and they have lots of under storage if the front racks are full. From Boulder the GS travels down Broadway and stays on all the way down CO93 till Washington Street in Golden. From Washington street it winds through downtown Golden before it connects to Colfax to swing around Colorado Mills all the way down to Simms. Once on Simms it crosses 6th Avenue to swirl around Federal Center. It connects a large portion of commercial Golden for Boulder residents for an easy and gorgeous commute.

The bus service for the GS route is limited so plan your commute strategically. There are only four busses that leave Boulder in the morning Mondays through Fridays and only 2 from Golden. Again in the evening there are four busses heading to Boulder and only two for Golden. There isn't any bus service available on Weekends or holidays so pack your car with as many people as you can for efficient trips at those times.
